Worthy of All-Season Listening

I know you have heard the 2013 summer single, "Get Lucky," by Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams. Probably too many times. Daft Punk have been making funky synth music since the 1990's. And in 2013's Random Access Memories, Daft Punk features broader collaborations, a greater use of live instrumentation, and a special homage to 70s-80s disco and house music. "Get Lucky" may feature the albums catchiest hook, but the entire album touts the funkiest vibes and crispest engineering, as well as much better songs. The French duo's album won five Grammy's in 2014 including Album of the Year. It darn well deserved it.

Thanks, France.
