LCD Soundsystem formed; released its first ear-catching single, "Losing My Edge;" released three critically acclaimed and beloved albums; filmed a documentary; and calmly retired in an incredible ten-year span that left an friendly ringing in the ear of the music industry. James Murphy, the voice, the words, and the sounds behind LCD Soundsystem, had established himself as king of cool and of self-aware and contagious electronic dance music in a project released through his co-founded record label, DFA Records.

The middle of his three studio albums, Sound of Silver, may feature a slightly more diverse sound and more sincere tone than the others, but shares in the wit and contagion.
