A New Hip Hop Talent

Isaiah Rashad is a young, hip hop talent recently signed by Top Dawg Entertainment: the record label home to big name rappers Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q amongst others. Soon after his signing, Top Dawg released an extended play version of his Cilvia mixtape. It took this long for me to hear about it, but the coming-of-age narrative of the album is woven with solid Southern and progressive hip hop.
