I Love Foot Stomping Good Times and You

The Avett Brothers are a fantastic bluegrassy folk-rock band from North Carolina. The brothers, so named, are Seth and Scott Avett though the band also features Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon and various touring members. Since the turn of the millennia, The Avett Brothers have been making eclectic country rock music with beauty and depth. If you gag at the words "country" and "music" in sequence or if your elderly ears can't handle the usual trappings of "rock"; The Avett Brothers expertly fill a unique space between rock, country, folk, and pop with melody, substance, and warmth that even you may find exceedingly enjoyable.

The Avett Brothers teamed up with prolific producer Rick Rubin in 2009 for I and Love and You (and for subsequent albums). Their sessions yielded a finely orchestrated album full of Americana rock ballads featuring the brothers' heartfelt harmonies and slight twang. If you like what you hear, you'll be happy to learn there's plenty more to be found in The Avett Brothers.

Thanks, Justin.
