Signs of Light by The Head and the Heart

More Folk Pop For the Head and the Heart
The Head and the Heart nearly perfectly adhered to an idea I have of indie-folk. Hailing from Seattle and self-releasing their debut album, this group of acoustic rockers has peddled catchy folk-rock since 2009.
Signs of Light marks their third album, and it takes one decidedly firm step towards plain pop. The band manages to front the familiar high spirit and rustic appeal of their previous work with a far cleaner, glitzier execution. While much of the folk charm has been polished away, the arrangements and production win in a big way and highlight the same delicious songwriting.
Thanks, Seattle.
