Gentle and heavy, Julien Baker plays like a single guitarist from Explosions In The Sky while her melodies plainly and honestly relate very personal pains of grief, depression, and drug abuse. Indulging her despair, Julien describes and demonstrates resilience. Just a girl and her guitar lifting their voices.

Julien Baker played with the alt-rock band Forrister before releasing her solo work on Bandcamp, which slowly spread. Last year she re-released her album Sprained Ankle with 6131 Records to further success and attention.
