Anne Clark attended the Berkley School of Music, joined the Polyphonic Spree, and played in Sufjan Stevens touring band: all before releasing her debut album, Marry Me, in 2007. With plenty of experience and experiences to weave into her music, St. Vincent delivers eccentric and surprising perspectives and sounds in each of her albums.

Strange Mercy released to universal acclaim in 2011 and coalesces St. Vincent's eclectic tastes and talents into an album filled with clever, honest, and twisted thoughts delivered alongside emotional music that is both elegant and menacing. I dare you not to love this doe-eyed shredder.
