23-year-old Will Toledo, performing as Car Seat Headrest, released eleven albums online via Bandcamp before making his major-label debut in 2015 with Teens of Style. Teens of Denial further shows the depths of experience and talent Toledo has to offer. Coupling his incredible wit and DIY ethics with the top-notch production of Steve Fisk, Toledo's Teens of Denial is excellent.

Similarly to how James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) is imbued with "coolness" as a chubby, older white guy making current electronic music, Will Toledo brings "coolness" as a gawky youngster lending his pensive pop sensibility to a decidedly classic rock sound.
